Melissa- "January Blossoms"

Aperture mode f/5 with ISO 400.
I liked the focus on the flowers and water droplets, and the cloudiness of the back and foreground.
The histogram came out dark no matter what ISO I was using. I wish the photo were brighter.

Jessica - Backlighting

This was my attempt at backlighting of this bush. WB is set on Cloudy which made it a little warmer than the daylight setting. I like the slight golden tint on the edges of the plant. With regard to changes, I might have changed my position and had the sunniest spot closer to a point where the thirds lines intersect.

Backlight

All I really remember about this one is the rock in my butt!
But I liked it when I reviewed it on my computer.

I tried this with a fill flash (I think).
This was the better of the two.

Field Trip

Dick N., "Waiting for Light"

I hung around after the class to capture these shots. With the tide out I managed to get below the grass and shoot upward to get the moon in the photo. I had some trouble with the sky blowing out at times, but when I waited for the sun to come from behind the clouds it provided better lighting for the grass. I grabbed the taillight of the car just as I left the parking lot.

Tony - Chains and Stainless

Played with the custom aeb at
-2 0 +2

I liked the reflection of the stainless and the chains detail, also how the wb setting changed the contrast of the setting.

I probably would change at least one photo so all were from the same position.

American Bittern

Lu - Day Into Night

I chose this photo because I thought the WB setting made it look as if I were shooting the scene in moonlight instead of sunlight. I liked the angles and shadows crisscrossing. I tried this from several different angles and liked this angle the best.

Melissa-"Prehistoric Market Bird"

So this was taken with my 200 mm lens zoomed in all the way. White balance was set to sunny. The camera mode was "P" and the ISO was at 800 so I could get enough light. I love the rich color of the photo and I like the angles the bird face makes. If I could do something differently I wouldn't have zoomed in quite so much so I had a little extra room around the photo to work with (like the bottom of the beak is right up against the edge of the photo).
