While nothing in the photo was holding still while I changed aperture setting, I was able to blur my background with an f5 1/15. The histogram is more to the dark side, but when I opened the aperture the instructor's hand looked too washed-out as did the shine on her violin.

I really like this photo. My eye is immediately drawn to the hand. Good use of blurred background that still gives a sense of the environment.
ReplyDeleteAs a retired music teacher I especially like the shot. At any lower aperture you would not realize that the person holding the violin was in front of a class. Good work. It needs to be hung in the hallway!
